Barcelona secured their first LaLiga win of the season on Sunday, running out 5-2 winners over Real Betis at Camp Nou.
Antoine Griezmann grabbed the headlines after scoring his first goals for the club, but there was an introduction from the bench in the 78th minute that gave a tantalising glimpse into the club s future.
Ansu Fati, just 16, was brought on to replace Carles Perez and became the second youngest player to feature in LaLiga in the club s history behind Vicente Martinez, who was 18 days younger when he played against Real Madrid in October 1941.
Born in Guinea-Bissau, Ansu arrived at Barca in 2013 at the age of 10 and has impressed at every level since then, recently signing a deal that will keep him at the club until June 2022.

Neymar said his contract renewal with Paris Saint-Germain is no longer an issue as the star pledged his future to the Ligue 1 giants following their Champions League progress.
PSG forward Neymar – who arrived from Barcelona for a world-record €222million in 2017 – is contracted until 2022 but both parties have been in negotiations regarding a fresh deal in the French capital.
Neymar has continually been linked with a return to LaLiga powerhouse Barca, but the Brazil international confirmed his intentions to re-sign with PSG.
This [renewal with PSG] is no longer an issue, Neymar told ESPN Brazil after PSG eliminated holders Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter-finals.
Obviously I feel very comfortable and at home here at PSG. I feel happie…
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admitted his Manchester United players lacked composure after Jack Grealish s goal gave Aston Villa the lead in a 2-2 draw at Old Trafford on Sunday.
The Red Devils turned the game around as Marcus Rashford forced a Tom Heaton own-goal and Victor Lindelof headed a second for the hosts, but Tyrone Mings plundered an equaliser to earn Villa a point.
The result left United with just two wins from their last nine Premier League matches and, while offering a reminder of the youthfulness of his team, Solskjaer pointed to a lack of composure during a disjointed first half.
Any home game you d want to win and you go into the game believing you ll win but you have to play an opposition and the first half wasn t good enough, said Solskjaer.

that Manchester City could be set to make a move for Tottenham Hotspur full-back Kyle Walker.
Walker was a notable absentee as Spurs beat Arsenal 2-0 in Sunday’s North London Derby, with Kieran Trippier starting in his place.
He has already held talks with manager Maurico Pochettino and is sure that he can boost his earnings should he secure a lucrative move away at the end of the season.
Manchester City have identified the twenty-six year old as a potential target with manager Pep Guardiola keen to strengthen his back line in the summer.
Walker moved to White Hart Lane in the summer of 2009, and has since racked up over two hundred and twenty-five appearances in all competitions, scoring four goals.
Internationally, he has been capped tw…
Real Betis have agreed deal to sign Guido Rodriguez from Liga MX side America, according to .
Apparently, the player s agent has confirmed that the negotiations between the two clubs are in their final stage. The transfer fee has been set at $10 million with the Mexican side to keep 20% of his economic rights, and Rodriguez will sign a contract making him a Betis player for the next four and a half years.
The 25-year-old Argentinian is a midfielder with primarily defensive duties. His professional career started with River Plate back in 2014. Since then, he has also played for Defensa y Justicia and Tijuana, before joining America in the summer of 2017 for around $7 million. This season he has played in 22 games, finding the opposition net on three occasions.

According to a recent report from Sky Sports News, the fact that Mauricio Pochettino is now available to fill any managerial vacancy has not changed Manchester United’s position when it comes to their own manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. It’s safe to say that the Norwegian has had a mixed year during his time at Old Trafford as the gaffer, and yet despite that, many fans are ready to stick with him in order to see whether or not he can turn the ship around.
That’ll probably last until at least the end of the current season, so long as the results don’t get any worse, but beyond that there is certainly a desire to see Pochettino make his way into the mix.
Pochettino was sacked last night from his role as Tottenham Hotspur manager, and has immediately been repla…
Adrian has reminded David Sullivan that he has more than one top-class goalkeeper on the books after the West Ham co-chairman described new signing Joe Hart as the best goalkeeper I ve worked with .
Sullivan and Hart previously worked together at Birmingham City and were reunited when the Manchester City stopper arrived at London Stadium on loan this week.
Sullivan was full of praise for Hart s contribution at St Andrew s in 2009-10 in an interview in which in its published form, at least failed to mention either of the club s existing goalkeeping options, with Darren Randolph also in Slaven Bilic s squad.
Joe was absolutely fantastic for us at Birmingham City eight years ago, Sullivan told the West Ham website.
I have been working on this trans…
The 2019/20 season was huge for both Liverpool and Leeds United. The Reds won the Premier League title for the first time since 1990, their 19th league title overall, and in a manner so convincing that it had Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe, arguably the hottest prospect of world football right now, heaping enormous praise on Jurgen Klopp and his men.
On the other hand, Leeds won the Championship and are now back in the top flight after an absence of 16 years. Led by the fantastic Marcelo Bielsa, they ve been playing some very exciting football and have found their way into the hearts of many football neutrals.
It was therefore expected that when these two teams meet in the opening round of 2020/21 at Anfield, they would provide the spectators with a match to rem…
According to a recent report from Sky Sports News, West Ham United’s owners are now beginning to lose faith in manager Manuel Pellegrini. The belief is that discussions are ongoing in regards to figuring out whether or not he’s the right man for the job, despite a promising start to their Premier League campaign a few months back.
The Hammers have been on a gradual decline for a while now, to the point where it wouldn’t be at all surprising to see a new man on the touchline by the time West Ham’s next game rolls around. Pellegrini did manage to guide his team towards an unlikely triumph over Chelsea recently, but then followed that up with defeats to Wolves and Arsenal – in games that they could’ve actually wound up getting something from.

Anderlecht have accepted a fine of CHF 200,000 (€177,218) from FIFA after being found guilty of breaches relating to the international transfer and registration of youth players.
The Belgian Pro League giants breached article 19 of FIFA s regulations in the case of four minor players between 2011 and 2013.
In a statement, Anderlecht confirmed they do not intend to appeal against the judgement despite that avenue being open via the FIFA Appeals Committee.
The [FIFA] Discipline Committee took into account the club s positive cooperation in the investigation to determine the sanction, the statement read.
The current management of the club takes note. It does not appeal this judgment and confirms again, as it also demonstrated to FIFA, that such administr…
